Powder coatings are high-quality, thermosetting coatings designed for superior surface finishing. They are formulated using synthetic resins, pigments, and specialized additives, yet they contain no organic solvents whatsoever. This makes them an environmentally friendly choice, offering benefits such as being solvent-free, pollution-free, recyclable, energy- and resource-efficient, reducing labor intensity, and delivering coatings with exceptional mechanical strength. The manufacturing process of powder coatings involves three key steps: pre-mixing raw materials, extrusion, and pulverization. Additionally, the particle size distribution of the powder is carefully controlled to meet specific application requirements. Typically, powder coatings are applied by spraying them onto the surface of a workpiece using an electrostatic gun. Once the workpiece reaches a temperature range of 120–200°C, the powder melts and subsequently cures through chemical cross-linking, forming a durable, smooth finish.
